In 1949, just a year after the founding of the State, the Israeli government established the Arab Academic College to train teachers and provide complementary education for Israel’s largest minority community.
From our earliest days, we have adhered to the belief that promoting educational inclusion and equality would endow our students with the skills and self-confidence necessary to succeed in the world beyond our walls.
Over the years, our expanded curriculum and broad-based syllabus earned us accreditation as a four-year institute of higher education, authorized to grant undergraduate and graduate degrees. Now as then, we continue to value and foster
cultural and ethnic diversity in our student body, faculty and staff. Throughout our busy corridors and amidst our many classrooms, young women and men – Muslims, Christians, Druze and Jews – learn and work together, shaping a strong community among people of different backgrounds.
We are particularly dedicated to helping Arab women advance their careers while
maintaining their daily schedules at home and work by providing weekend programs
and intensive one-day education and training seminars.
